Iranian Consul in Najaf Rejects Joint Management of Hormuz with US

Saeed Seyedin, Iran’s consul in Najaf, rejected joint management of the Strait of Hormuz with the United States.

He said such proposals are unacceptable for Iran.

He blamed current tensions on US escalation.

He added the conflict began during negotiations.

He noted Iran was targeted more than once.

He said those attacks occurred during talks.

He stated this undermined trust between both sides.

He also warned of expansionist agendas in the region.

He said these are not just slogans.

He stressed Iran will not accept threats to sovereignty.

He reaffirmed rejection of foreign intervention.
