Iran: War's End, Agreement Achieved
Iran's Foreign Minister confirmed that declaring the war's end marked the most significant achievement in the agreement's first phase, with the announcement made Monday morning. He clarified that any Israeli military aggression against Lebanon, or continued occupation, would breach the memorandum of understanding (MoU), whose parties are the United States and Israel on one side, and Iran and Hezbollah on the other. The nuclear file and sanctions removal, he added, will be discussed during the sixty-day negotiations with Washington, slated for introduction in the final phase of talks. The minister also noted the MoU's formal implementation starts Friday, stressing the end of the war in Lebanon is tied to ending the war with Iran, and that the declaration of war's cessation was immediate and conclusive on all fronts, including Lebanon.
