Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi confirmed that Tehran has reviewed a message from U.S. Vice President James DeVance and discussed it in high-level meetings, considering Washington's attempt to open dialogue a positive step, but clarified that there are currently no plans for direct meetings with U.S. officials. Araghchi stated in press remarks that an Iranian delegation traveled to Doha while Qatari and Pakistani mediators continue consultations regarding Iran's demands. He noted that Tehran is studying proposals related to the nuclear file and has reached a proposal to reduce the duration of the plan to reopen the Strait of Hormuz from five days to two days. He added that Iran's conditions include lifting sanctions, reducing U.S. military presence in the region, releasing frozen Iranian funds, restoring oil exemptions, recognizing the new navigation route in the Strait of Hormuz, and ending warfare on all fronts including Lebanon. He emphasized that reopening the strait under Iran's conditions paves the way for resuming negotiations with Washington, and that Iran is prepared for all scenarios.
