Iran Announces $2 Billion Annual Revenue via New "Smart Management" Model for Hormuz

 Taha Hossein Madani, head of the Iranian Smart Governance Institute, revealed on Wednesday a new operational model for the Strait of Hormuz that bypasses sanctions and generates $2 billion in annual hard currency. Since February 2025, Iran has transitioned the waterway from a free passage to a "smartly managed" corridor under Tehran's central authority. Madani emphasized that this strategic shift is permanent, aiming to capitalize on the strait's global significance through a 2026 mechanism. This new administration requires precise planning and is expected to create unprecedented economic opportunities for Iran while securing its 2026 regional influence and financial resilience.
