Investment Commission Mandates Iraqi Dinar for Housing Units, Warns Violators of Legal Action

 The National Investment Commission affirmed the commitment of all provincial investment commissions to use the Iraqi Dinar exclusively for the sale and installment of housing units within investment projects. Commission spokesperson Hanan Jassim explained that this measure aims to protect citizens' rights and support the national currency amidst 2026 economic fluctuations, emphasizing the ban on foreign currency transactions and the monitoring of any violations requiring legal accountability to consolidate real estate market stability.
