Integrity: Suspects Apprehended, Billions Recovered in Anti-Corruption Drive

Mohammed Ali Al-Lami, Head of the Federal Integrity Commission, announced Wednesday that the combined efforts of oversight bodies, the judiciary, and law enforcement agencies have led to the apprehension of major corruption suspects and the recovery of billions of dinars. This statement occurred during Al-Lami's meeting with Basim Al-Badri, Head of the National Security Service. Al-Lami elaborated that this effective cooperation facilitated recent arrest operations, resulting in warrants against prominent suspects and the recovery of tens of billions of dinars for the state treasury. He praised the advanced coordination between the Commission and the Service, noting these operations curb blackmail and extortion citizens might face when seeking services. For his part, Basim Al-Badri, Head of the National Security Service, expressed his agency's readiness to intensify cooperation with the Integrity Commission. Al-Badri commended the success of recent operations, affirming they enhance citizen protection from corruption crimes and boost public trust in state institutions.
