Bayern Munich and England national team star Harry Kane addressed his chances of winning the 2026 Ballon d'Or award for the world's best player, ahead of the anticipated nominee list announcement on Tuesday. France Football magazine is set to unveil its final lists of nominees for the world's top awards, including the prestigious Ballon d'Or. Kane is considered a prominent candidate for the ultimate victory, thanks to his outstanding past season. In press statements, Kane expressed immense pride in his season, stating: "It wasn't long ago I was just a fan dreaming of becoming a professional player, and now I'm winning awards, and that applies to the Ballon d'Or." Regarding winning, he added: "It's completely out of my control; it depends on voters and decision-makers. Last season was my best ever, and we'll see what happens." The player continued: "It's somewhat strange; I'm currently focused on current and upcoming seasons. Can I improve? But I also want to appreciate what I've achieved." He explained that "it's about opinions; there are many different viewpoints on players. People might like a player for speed, high football IQ, or exceptional finishing ability."
