Gold prices rise in Baghdad markets

Iraqi and foreign gold prices witnessed a noticeable increase today, Monday, in the local markets of the capital, Baghdad. Trading data in the wholesale markets on Al-Nahr Street during morning hours showed an upward movement in buying and selling for various carats. In detail, the selling price of one mithqal of 21-carat Gulf, Turkish, and European gold reached high levels compared to yesterday, Sunday, while the local metal of the same carat recorded slightly lower levels. Similarly, goldsmith shops witnessed a slight variation in the final selling prices per mithqal for all foreign and local types, affected by morning trading movements in the capital's central markets.
