Giant Chinese oil tanker carrying two million barrels Iraqi crude attempts crossing Hormuz Strait

Ship tracking data from London Stock Exchange Group and Kpler showed a giant Chinese oil tanker carrying two million barrels of Iraqi crude attempted to cross the Strait of Hormuz on Wednesday. The data indicated the VLCC (Yuan Hua Hu) passed off Iran's Larak Island on the eastern side of the strait, heading south. Based on available ship tracking data, if the tanker actually crosses, this will be the third known transit of a Chinese oil tanker through the strait since the war began.
