Ghalibaf: Washington submits proposals via mediators and shows media contradiction
Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf stated that the American side adopts contrasting positions in the media compared to the proposals it presents through intermediaries. During his speech at the open session of the Islamic Consultative Council, Ghalibaf explained that the United States, alongside the Zionist entity, has reached a stage of despair in confronting the steadfastness of the Iranian people, pointing out that Washington recently submitted offers through third parties despite what it publicly displays. He emphasized that the era of procrastination and imposing unilateral conditions has ended, noting that Tehran's position remains firm and the Strait of Hormuz will not be opened until the seven conditions based on the Islamabad Memorandum are met. He pointed out that this duplicity aims to confuse Iranian public opinion, affect decision-makers, and disrupt national security calculations, stressing that the Islamic Republic does not base its strategies on media statements but rather on field actions. He stated that Tehran follows a strategy combining strength and rationality, rejecting emotional reactions and submission to threats, and moving forward with diplomatic and military confrontation simultaneously, stressing that successful negotiators must be fully prepared for fighting. He considered that the events of October 7 constituted a decisive turning point that shattered Israeli security illusions and confirmed the accuracy of early readings regarding the impossibility of repairing that strategic fracture. It is worth noting that military tension between the two sides has witnessed multiple rounds of reciprocal strikes and the signing of a temporary ceasefire memorandum before confrontations renewed without reaching a final settlement yet.
