The Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, Jasem Al-Budaiwi, condemned "in the strongest terms" the "hostile attack" that targeted the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia via drones launched from Iraqi airspace.

Al-Budaiwi stressed in a statement that this attack represents "a flagrant violation of security and stability in the region, and reflects the continuation of the escalatory approach that would undermine security and threaten the safety of vital facilities, infrastructure, and regional security."

He emphasized that "the security of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is an integral part of the security of the Council states, affirming that the GCC countries stand as one with the Kingdom in all measures it takes to maintain its security and stability, and to safeguard its sovereignty and territorial integrity."
