The General Commission for Monitoring Federal Revenues Allocation announced on Saturday its regulatory mechanisms for tracking the movement of funds from the public treasury to spending entities, emphasizing that every single dinar entering or leaving the treasury is subject to rigorous monitoring. Head of the Commission Suzan Abdullah stated, according to the official agency, that the institution operates independently and serves as an early warning system to combat corruption. She explained that its duties include monitoring allocations, supervising funding flows from the Ministry of Finance to ministries and governorates, and verifying the optimal utilization of these funds along with all federal revenue sources. She pointed out that all financial amounts entering and departing the Iraqi treasury are closely observed and monitored by specialized personnel, noting that numerous corruption files have been detected and officially referred to the Integrity Commission, the judiciary, and the Federal Board of Supreme Audit. She affirmed that there is no overlap in jurisdiction between the Commission and the Board of Supreme Audit, highlighting full institutional integration among regulatory bodies. She clarified that the Federal Revenues Allocation Monitoring Commission remains the sole entity in the country responsible for direct financial supervision of funds prior to disbursement and tracking their trajectory afterwards.
