A spokesperson for the bureau stated that the FBI's counter-drone law enforcement team is actively operating around stadiums and events related to the tournament. The team aims to ensure that drone operators do not violate the temporary flight restrictions imposed by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Nearly twenty drone operators have been called in, and their aircraft confiscated, since Friday as part of enforcing these restrictions. The spokesperson urges drone pilots to check the FAA's website to ascertain permitted and restricted areas for operating their drones during World Cup matches.
