Food and Agriculture Organization reported that global food prices rose in March to their highest level since the end of last year.

The food price index averaged 128.5 points, up 2.4% from February, marking the second consecutive monthly increase.

The rise reflects higher prices across key global food commodities.

The agency also raised its forecast for global grain production in 2025 to a record level.
