European Union countries express support and assistance Iraqi new government

European Union countries expressed today, Tuesday, their support and assistance for the new Iraqi government. The Media Office of the Prime Minister stated that "Prime Minister-designate Ali Falih al-Zaidi received today, Tuesday, the European Union Ambassador to Iraq, Thomas Seiler, who handed him a message from the EU countries expressing their support and assistance for the new government and working with it in various fields." It added that "the meeting discussed horizons of cooperation relations between Iraq and EU countries and ways to enhance them within bilateral agreements and memorandums of understanding, and the future vision to enhance mutual interests and benefit." It pointed out that "the meeting witnessed discussing regional and international issues and files of common interest, emphasizing the importance of intensifying joint action to achieve stability and development, and maintaining regional and international security."
