Damascus Confirms Keenness to Enhance Joint Cooperation with Baghdad

Prime Minister Ali Falih Al-Zaidi received on Saturday Syrian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Asaad Al-Shaibani to discuss bilateral ties. A statement issued by the Prime Minister's Media Office noted that Al-Zaidi affirmed support for Syria and stressed enhancing cooperation, especially in the economy, combating terrorism, and border security through joint committees, highlighting the necessity of preserving Syrian social cohesion. For his part, the Syrian minister highlighted the deep bilateral ties, expressing Damascus's commitment to advancing cooperation to serve the mutual interests of both nations.
