Crimea Declares Emergency Amid Fuel and Power Shortages

Russian authorities declared a regional state of emergency in the Crimean Peninsula on Friday, in response to the repercussions of recent Ukrainian strikes. These attacks have led to significant shortages of fuel and electricity. Governor Sergey Aksyonov, appointed by Moscow, stated in a Telegram message that "the legal framework of the state of emergency allows for the swift resolution of issues related to maintaining the operation of all vital sectors."
