Iranian President Masoud Bazhkian affirmed on Monday that the supreme leadership has granted the government the necessary authority to address current challenges through dialogue and diplomacy. He emphasized that resorting to war serves no party's interests and that adversaries will not succeed in forcing Tehran to surrender through this path. In press remarks, he noted that Tehran is striving to resolve outstanding issues via dialogue, with the government receiving support and authorization from the top leadership to act accordingly. He warned against military escalation, stressing that war benefits no side and will not compel Iran to capitulate. Concluding his statements, he underscored Tehran's firm stance, stating: "We will strongly confront the lies propagated by the enemy and their excessive demands that contradict state logic and sovereignty." Amid tense conditions, diplomatic efforts continue to resolve the matter, with Qatari mediators holding meetings with Iranian officials for the third consecutive day. Informed sources indicated that Iranian negotiators left Doha on Sunday, not due to difficulties, but amid discussions of a new draft proposal and the possibility of a follow-up meeting soon. The Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Esmail Baghai, confirmed ongoing message exchanges, emphasizing that "the ball is now in the American court." It is noted that Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf leads the negotiations under the direct supervision of the Supreme National Security Council. Meanwhile, pressure rhetoric intensifies, with reports quoting U.S. President Donald Trump warning that Iran must either reach an agreement or face decisive action. Additionally, reports indicate that the Israeli Prime Minister urged Trump to launch strikes against Iran following the midterm elections.
