Basra Seals Memorandum of Understanding with Leading American Energy and Space Firm

Basra Governorate, on Tuesday, finalized a memorandum of understanding with the prominent American company KBR, aiming to expand cooperation across the energy, space, and technology sectors. The U.S. Embassy in Baghdad, through a statement published on its official platforms, reported that Basra Governor Asaad Al-Eidani hosted U.S. Chargé d'affaires Harris, accompanied by a delegation from KBR. During the meeting, Harris reiterated the United States' commitment to deepening economic partnership with Iraq in the region, emphasizing a shared dedication to achieving tangible outcomes that benefit both the American and Iraqi peoples. KBR, an American global engineering, technology, and services company, is headquartered in Houston, Texas. The firm is widely recognized for its strong presence and extensive activities in the global energy, oil, defense, and space industries.
