Barcelona finalizes date for Raphinha contract renewal announcement

SPORT newspaper reported on Tuesday that the Brazilian player will extend his existing deal, which runs until 2029, by an additional season to remain within the Catalan club until the summer of 2030. Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano confirmed that Raphinha has already signed the new contract, and that Barcelona will officially announce the renewal on coming Friday. Raphinha was linked with a departure from Barcelona last summer following lucrative offers from the Saudi league, but the Brazilian's priority was always to remain at Camp Nou. Raphinha is delivering an exceptional season so far with Barcelona in terms of both scoring and performance, especially with his position shifting from the wing to the center of the attack. The player managed to score 14 goals and provided 3 assists, contributing to 17 goals in just 8 matches with the Blaugrana.
