Baghdad Municipality Announces Canal Tunnel Upgrade and New Alternative Road

The Baghdad Municipality announced on Saturday the commencement of works to upgrade the Canal Tunnel and establish an alternative road to improve traffic flow. According to an official statement, these works were directed by the Mayor of Baghdad, Ammar Mousa Kazem, and supervised by the municipal deputy Ali Kamel Al-Saadi. The First Sadr Municipal Directorate began supporting the Ministry of Construction and Housing by addressing speed bumps in the Canal Tunnel and creating an alternative route. These measures aim to enhance traffic fluidity and reduce congestion in the area, as part of the joint cooperation between the Baghdad Municipality and the Ministry of Construction and Housing to strengthen infrastructure and develop the capital's road network.
