Baghdad Applauds European, Canadian Decision to Restrict Trade with Israel

The Ministry issued a statement affirming its welcome of the decision by the foreign ministers of Canada, Finland, France, Iceland, Ireland, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, and the United Kingdom to restrict trade with the Zionist entity. It characterized this move as correct, aimed at supporting international efforts to curb settlement policies, which it described as a blatant violation of international legitimacy resolutions and a flagrant aggression against the rights of the Palestinian people. The statement added that the decision marks a positive development in upholding international law and its principles. The Foreign Ministry expressed hope that other nations would adopt similar measures, thereby contributing to ending settlement activities and guaranteeing the rights of the Palestinian people.
