Amr Diab Achieves New Guinness World Record

Egyptian artist Amr Diab received a Guinness World Records plaque for achieving a new milestone: the highest number of weeks at number one on the Billboard Arabia chart. This recognition marks Diab's second Guinness title during his artistic career spanning over four decades, based on his outstanding performance on the Billboard Arabia charts. The documentation of this achievement began after Diab's total reached 64 weeks at the top position by May 30, 2026. He then returned to the summit, adding another five weeks, bringing his total periods at number one to 69 weeks upon the official announcement of this global title. These record-breaking weeks were distributed across six different periods since January 13, 2024, including a continuous stretch of 36 weeks that began on April 12, 2025. His latest return to the top coincided with the release of his album "Habetak" during the summer of 2026. The artist had previously reached 66 weeks at the top of the chart last July and continued to extend his record in subsequent weeks. Commenting on this new record, Amr Diab attributed the success to his audience, emphasizing the crucial role of listeners' interaction with his work and the necessity of continuously developing and diversifying his music. Diab stated that the audience's interaction and satisfaction with each new work represent the most significant achievement for him, a statement made concurrently with receiving his Guinness plaque. Amr Diab's influence was not limited to the Artist 100 chart; his song "Baba" topped the Billboard Arabia Hot 100 chart for eight non-consecutive weeks in 2025. "El Hadaba" has also maintained his continuous presence on the Artist 100 list since its launch in December 2023, making him one of only 6 artists who have not missed an appearance on the chart during its first 128 weeks. His name currently holds the second position on the Artist 100 chart, with 69 weeks at number one and a total of 145 weeks on the chart overall. This new achievement adds to Amr Diab's impressive record within the Guinness World Records, affirming his ongoing prominent presence among record holders associated with his long musical career.
