American Forces Destroy Key Observation Tower at Iran's Shahid Kalantari Port

The U.S. military announced on Friday the destruction of an observation tower at Iran's Shahid Kalantari port yesterday. In a statement, the military clarified that American forces successfully targeted and destroyed the observation tower at Chabahar's Shahid Kalantari port, which is an integral part of a naval surveillance network along the Iranian coast on the Gulf of Oman. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has utilized this tower for decades to track and target commercial vessels transiting the Strait of Hormuz. The statement emphasized that the destruction of the tower directly weakens the IRGC's ability to coordinate attacks on innocent civilian crews. Furthermore, the strike contributes to protecting freedom of navigation in regional waters for all vessels, with the exception of those attempting to violate the ongoing U.S. naval blockade against Iran.
