Al-Zaydi Directs Support for Private Generators, Facilitating Fuel Provision Procedures

Prime Minister Ali Falih Al-Zaydi, on Thursday, directed concerned authorities to provide necessary support to private generator owners and streamline fuel provision procedures. This directive followed Al-Zaydi's meeting with a delegation from the Syndicate of Private Generator Owners, attended by the Minister of Electricity. During the meeting, the delegation provided a detailed explanation of generator operating mechanisms, hours, and approved tariffs, alongside discussing the supply of essential fuel quotas to ensure continuous operation. The Prime Minister underscored the vital role these generators play in bolstering the electricity grid and addressing citizen demands, particularly during peak usage and high temperatures. Al-Zaydi urged relevant bodies to offer sufficient support to private generator owners and alleviate hurdles in securing fuel, thereby guaranteeing stable operating hours and uninterrupted service for citizens, especially throughout the upcoming summer.
