A statement from his media office indicated that Prime Minister Al-Zaidi met in New York, after midnight on Tuesday (Baghdad time), with ExxonMobil CEO Darren Woods and his accompanying delegation. The meeting discussed prospects for cooperation and partnership with ExxonMobil in oil exploration and the development of existing fields. This collaboration aims to enhance production and optimize investment in the country's oil wealth. Al-Zaidi underscored the necessity of expanding partnerships with major international companies and leveraging their expertise and modern technologies for oil sector growth, aligning with Iraq's direction towards increasing its production capabilities and boosting efficiency in natural resource investment.
