Prime Minister Ali Falah al-Zaidi directed, today Thursday, the investigation of a number of important contracts previously concluded by ministries and government institutions.
The Prime Minister's media office stated in a communiqué that in application of the ministerial program within the anti-corruption track and the objective of preserving public funds, al-Zaidi directed the relevant oversight bodies and competent law enforcement authorities to initiate investigative procedures into a number of important contracts concluded by ministries and government institutions, to determine their compliance with laws and instructions and their consideration of rights and public interest, as a prelude to exposing shortcomings, identifying those responsible for violations against public funds, and uncovering those who benefited from these contracts at the expense of the public interest.
Al-Zaidi also directed that investigation results be submitted and presented before the competent judicial authorities as quickly as possible, in order to protect public funds, restrain and apprehend manipulators, and bring them to justice.
