2030 World Cup Final Scenarios: Bernabéu Favored for Climax, Semis in Morocco and Barcelona

The Santiago Bernabéu stadium in Madrid, Spain, is currently a frontrunner to host the final match of the 2030 FIFA World Cup. Expectations suggest that one semi-final will be held in Casablanca, Morocco, with the other taking place in Barcelona. Spain, Morocco, and Portugal will co-host the 2030 World Cup. Additionally, three celebratory matches are slated for Argentina, Uruguay, and Paraguay to mark the centenary of the tournament's inaugural edition. Prevailing indications within FIFA headquarters in Zurich lean towards holding the final at Real Madrid's stadium, while allocating the two semi-final matches to Casablanca and Barcelona. The escalating media and public debate between Spain and Morocco regarding the final's venue has not, as yet, altered this preliminary outlook. However, FIFA has not made any official decision, and the final venue might not be confirmed until next year or possibly 2028. Real Madrid had previously reached an "unwritten agreement" with FIFA President Gianni Infantino, based on the conviction that the 2030 World Cup final should be played at the Santiago Bernabéu. Although the relationship between Real Madrid and Infantino has experienced some coolness recently, this is not expected to abandon the earlier vision for the Spanish club's stadium to host the final match. It is worth noting that the three host nations, during the bid submission phase, had outlined a roadmap that included the Santiago Bernabéu as the final venue. Nevertheless, no official document was signed to guarantee this, and the ultimate decision rests with FIFA. In a related development, Lekjaa stated during a party event in Bouznika, Morocco, on Thursday that the Benslimane province would have the honour of hosting the 2030 World Cup final. Benslimane is located 60 kilometers from Casablanca and is the site of the currently under-construction Grand Stade de Casablanca (Hassan II Stadium). This stadium is projected to have a capacity of 115,000 spectators, making it the largest football stadium in the world.
